Minister of Works, Housing, and Water Resources-designate, Kenneth Adjei, has pledged to leverage Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) to attract investment and expertise in Ghana’s housing sector.
Speaking during his vetting in Parliament on Tuesday, Adjei emphasized the need for collaboration between the government, private sector, and international organizations to address the country’s housing challenges.
“Given the opportunity, I will leverage public-private partnerships to attract investment and expertise from the private sector,” he stated. “I would also, given the opportunity, partner with the private sector and key actors such as Greater Accra authorities and other international organizations to support the housing sector.”
Ghana faces a significant housing deficit, with many citizens struggling to access affordable homes. Adjei’s approach aligns with the government’s broader agenda to boost infrastructure development through strategic alliances with the private sector.
