IIL dominates trades as AADS advances

The GSE Financial Index inched 0.35 points (-0.02%) The GSE Financial Index inched 0.35 points (-0.02%)

SIC Insurance (-11.11%) and Total Petroleum (-1.33%) closed lower, moderating the benchmark index by 0.53 points (-0.02%) to close at 2,136.82 with a -16.93% year-to-date return while market capitalization declined slightly by 0.01% to settle at GH¢55.55 billion.

The GSE Financial Index inched 0.35 points (-0.02%) down to close at 1,781.47 with a year-to-date return of -17.28% due to SIC Insurance.

The SAS Manufacturing Index was unchanged at 3,620.75 with a -22.19% year-to-date return.

AnlgloGold Ashanti Depository Shares (+2.50%) emerged as the sole gainer, closing the session at GH¢0.41.

Trading activity strengthened as 7,337,841 shares valued at GH¢694,137 changed hands compared with 3,857,961 shares valued at GH¢456,717 at the previous session. Intravenous Infusion Limited dominated trades, accounting for 92.60% of total volume traded and 48.94% of the total value traded.

We expect activity levels to increase at the next session.
