Sunyani (B/A), Feb. 7, GNA - Phoenix Insurance Company on Tuesday presented a cheque for 30 million cedis to four beneficiaries of a deceased client's account in Sunyani.
The late Theresah Asubonteng, a teacher at Brahoho in Nkoranza District, contributed 50,000 cedis per month with a total premium of 200,000 cedis in four months before her death.
The beneficiaries, Master Bismarck Boadi, 19, Jennifer Baffoaa Kwarteng, 15, Ernest Oppong, 10 and Prince Kwarteng, 4, all children of the client, were nominated by her to benefit 25 percent each of the claim that accrued from her investment.
Making the presentation, Mr. Frank Ayisi, Branch Manager, stressed the need for workers to undertake insurance policies to be able to counteract any problems.
He said the company did not know the beneficiaries but traced them in order to fulfil its promise to clients. Mr. Ayisi urged the public to take life policies to ensure the security of their children.
Receiving the cheque on behalf of his siblings, Master Boadi thanked the company for its concern to help alleviate their plight.
