Investment Forum Opens Tomorrow

Accra, Nov. 17. GNA - Ghana Investment Forum, scheduled to bring together private sector initiatives of Government, private sector operators and their collaborators to move investment forward opens in Accra on Tuesday, November 18.

President John Agyekum Kufuor would open the Forum, which is being organised under the auspices of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre and the United Nation's Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), at the plush La Palm Royal Hotel in Accra.

It would also bring together senior government officials, representatives of all stakeholders in trade, industry, investment pertaining to Ghana, local and foreign entrepreneurs and international institutions supporting or financing entrepreneurship.

Briefing the Ghana News Agency on the Forum, Mr Kwesi Abeasi said all was set for a successful event, which had a portfolio of viable investment projects individually screened by UNIDO for discussion at the forum.

The Government of Ghana has shown commitment to private sector development as a pillar for economic growth and this meant that she strengthened the country's position as a sub-regional business and trade hub.

Topics to be discussed at the Forum include, investment climate in Ghana, sectors of investment, project financing opportunities, business infrastructure in Ghana and perspective of regional and local market in the light of NEPAD and
