Investors Prepare For 1st Ghana-US Trade Expo

The American investment public is said to be preparing feverishly for the first ever US - Ghana expo scheduled for October. The expo initiated by the US Embassy in Accra, is being championed by the US Department of Commerce. The interest in the US- Ghana Expo, is more because of the opportunities for these investors in the West African sub-region.

Big American investors are very interested in the sub-region’s market of 250 million people. This in itself largely fulfils government’s ambition of making Ghana the gateway to trade and investment in West Africa.

The Expo is being actively promoted in the US and according to reports, is attracting many major businesses interested in forging business partnerships in various sectors including Agriculture, food processing, ICT, oil and gas, energy, tourism and transportation.

The October 8th to 12th US- Ghana Expo would include one-on-one matchmaking meetings that would bring together in-coming American companies with established Ghanaian companies.
