The Royal Dutch Airlines, KLM, has won the Chartered Institute of Marketing Airline of the Year Award 2000.
This was announced last Saturday at a ceremony in Accra. Mr. Rob Westerman, General Manager of KLM, West Africa and Mr. Robert Owusu, Sales Manager of KLM, Ghana, received the plague and citation on behalf of the company. The citation reads "Under the year in review, the volume of passengers carried to and form Ghana showed considerable growth of 17.2%.
KLM's flight schedules were prompt and customer expectations were largely met, giving much impetus to quality delivery associated with its operation which resulted in the increase of the number of flights per week." In all 19 awards were given to deserving individuals and corporate bodies.
