Ghana's fast growing Travel and Tour company, Kenpong Travel and Tours Limited organized a special holiday get away tour to the Kwahu Mountains during the Independence Holiday period.

The tour package which included transportation on a luxury bus, Bed and breakfast at Jays Lodge in Obo, Kwahu, buffet lunch and Dinner, 877 stairway walk on a 1, 000feet high mountain, Zipline, canopy walk, a visit to the Warrior cave and sports activities was full of fun and excitement for the entire passengers who embarked on the trip.

The local tour to the mountains was full of adventure when it began with the stairway walk which had 877 steps from the start to the end, which was on top of the mountain that is 2, 000 feet above sea level. It took about an hour for the entire people to get to the top of the mountain. The second activity was the canopy walk that's was very scary and adventurous but almost 80% of the people managed to do it amidst cries, shouts and laughter. The Zipline session was also another thrilling activity that saw a lot of people participating.

The most scary and adventure event was the visit to the Warrior cave in Kwahu where people had to climb another mountain to enter the cave with the help of ropes arm use headlamps to view inside the cave which was totally dark with light.

The entire passengers who embarked on the trip from the 6th to the7th Of March gave thumps up to Kenpong Travel and Tours for organizing a revealing and exciting tour and urged them to continue with their organizations and also called for a repeat of the Kwahu experience.

In an interview with the Operation Manager at Kenpong Group, Mohammed Alhassan, who is in charge of the Travel and Tours revealed that KT and T will be doing a lot of local tours this year to promote local tourism in the country.

He said they decided to organise the Kwahu trip ahead of the Easter because usually on Easter the town is too packed and movement is usually frustrating and difficult as it takes over 3 hours for people to move from Nkawkaw to Kwahu.

Mr Alhassan said the atmosphere was serene for the passengers during the Independence Day holiday period and everyone onboard was very excited and enjoyed the trip.

He however promised to announce their next destination in a few weeks.
