Kenya Airways to launch flights to Ghana

Kenya Airways will soon introduce two weekly flights to Accra, capital of Ghana, the East African Standard newspaper reported here on Saturday.

Starting from September 17, the airline will operate direct flights to Accra from Kenya's capital Nairobi every Monday and Saturday using a new Boeing 737-700, the newspaper said.

The decision to fly to Accra was motivated by rising market demand and there was a lot demand for flights between west Africa and the rest of Africa as well as Asia via Nairobi, Kenya Airways' Commercial Director Brian Steller was quoted as saying.

Kenya Airways, the national flag carrier, now has a fleet of 15 aircraft including Boeing 767-300. Its flight routes extend to major capital cities in Africa, and also to Europe, Middle East and North America.
