Let us patronise local products - Ahwoi

Kwesi Ahwoi, Minister of Food and Agriculture has repeated the call on Ghanaians to patronise made-in-Ghana products to help solve the nation’s food security problem.

Mr Ahwoi made the call when he interacted with newsmen after the official commissioning of Fry and Bake Catering Services, a Restaurant-Complex at Community ‘8’ in Tema.

The Minister who was the guest of honour for the occasion underscored the need to strengthen public and private partnerships in all spheres of endeavours to help improve the economy.

He commended the owner of the facility for her bold initiative and urged other private entrepreneurs to come up with similar projects to help develop the hospitality industry.

Mr Ahwoi assured her of his Ministry’s support.

Commissioning the Restaurant-Complex, Mr Robert Kempes Papa Nii Ofosuware, Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive expressed satisfaction at the huge investments sunk into the project.

Mr Ofosuware said the project was a step in the right direction because in his view the facility would provide most of the teeming unemployed youth in the metropolis with job opportunities.

Mrs Eva Frimpong Nyarko, Proprietress of the restaurant expressed her deepest appreciation to family members, friends, loved ones and well-wishers for their modest contributions in diverse ways towards the successful completion of the project.

Mrs Frimpong Nyarko was optimistic that the facility would not only serve as training for the youth, but would also provide affordable, nutritious and well-balanced diets for customers.

Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III and Nana Adu Adyei Bonsafo III, Paramount Chiefs of Akwamu and Nsuta Traditional Areas respectively, were among dignitaries who graced the occasion.
