MASLOC happy to see clients making progress

MRS Sedina Tamakloe Attionu, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), said the scheme was happy to see its clients making significant economic progress after accessing funds.

She said it is even more gladdening when such clients are rural women, considering the critical role they play in ensuring the proper upkeep of their families.

Mrs Tamakloe expressed the joy when addressing Tihitaribu Women’s Group, a group of women who are engaged in shea butter processing at Guli in the Wa Municipality.

The women, who were initially operating at a very low scale because of lack of capacity, got a loan from MASLOC and have increased production.

Impressed by the level of seriousness the women attached to the shea butter business, Mrs Tamakloe decided she would drill a borehole for them from her own resources to address the water challenge facing the women.

She said the scheme would continue to support such viable local industries in order to boost their capacity such that they can contribute significantly to the growth of the local economy.

Mrs Ajara Issahaku, Secretary, Tihitaribu Women’s Group, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the MASLOC Chief Executive for promising to drill a borehole for them out of her own resources.

She also appealed for support to enable them to purchase an additional machine to further boost their production capacity.
