MTN Gives Schorlaship To Five Polytechnic Students

Mobile Telecommunication Network Limited (MTN) has rewarded five polytechnic student among their Educational scholarship worth Gh 10,000 each within the MTN Ghana foundation as part of its 10 Million Merit Awards scheme. The student were selected from ,Ho, Koforidua, Sunyani, Bolga and Wa polytechnics after participating in an essay competition organized by the foundation in conjunction with the administration of the polytechnics . The Executive Director of MTN Ghana foundation, Mrs. Cynthia Lumor, noted that the foundation is pleased to have successfully completed the selection process for the 10 beneficiaries. she said they are happy to have honored their promises to subscribers and Ghana as a whole .adding that their objective has been met and it gives them a good feeling that as a foundation they are enriching the lives of 10 student currently studying in the universities and polytechnics of Ghana.

She said 10 Million Merit awards shceme was launched in may 2012 offering a scholarship package totaling Gh100,000.00 to 10 brilliant and needy students who had applied to 10 pre-selected public tertiary institutions nationwide. Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ghana ,Mr. Michael Ikpoki during presentation encourage the student to make good use of the support being offered by the MTN Ghana Foundation by learning seriously to achieve the best in life. He added that they should take full advantage of the opportunities telecommunications and technology generally is bringing and to use ICT to broaden themselves. He advice parents of the beneficiaries to ensure that they invest what mush in their wards in other profitable areas to solidify their future.
