MTN presents cars to 30 winners of Mega Promotion

Accra, May 11, GNA - MTN Ghana has presented 29 Hyundai ix10 and one Hyundai ix35 cars to the first batch of its customers in the company's ongoing 90 days Mega Promotion, which was launched last April. The promotion is aimed at building excitement towards the 2010 FIFA World Cup tournament to be held in South Africa from June to July this year. The promotion is said to be one of the biggest customer reward project, which enables a subscriber to win an ix10 Hyundai vehicle on weekdays and an ix35 Hyundai vehicle on weekends just by texting "2010" and answering some few questions.

At a ceremony in Accra to present the cars on Monday, Mr George Andah Chief Marketing Officer Executive of the company noted that the promotion among similar packages reaffirmed MTN commitment to give back to society in recognition of its loyal customers.

Mrs Gifty Fiadzo, a resident of Ho in the Volta Region, won the ix35 Hyundai, the ultimate car for the first draw, whiles the 29 ix10 vehicles were taken by 29 other customers of the company.

Mr Andah said: "This promotion demonstrates our leadership in the industry and our resolve to build strong relationship with our cherished subscribers as we continue to provide them with better and reliable service". He noted that as part of the promotion some of the subscribers could also win consolation prizes including Television sets, mobile phones, airtime, lap tops, and cash prizes.

Mr Andah said the promotion was the third project initiated by the company, which sought to connect subscribers to share the excitement of football.

He said the first one dubbed "Rally Round the Flag" received massive participation and it was followed by "TXT Go To 2010" promotion that provided customers with fantastic prizes.

"We have put in place a stringent process approved by the Gaming Commission to ensure that those deserving to win are selected on a daily basis and offered their rewards," he said.

MTN is the title sponsor of the global event with support from partners such as V-Mobile, Upstrem and Hyundai Auto Plaza. Mrs Fiadzo on behalf of the winners expressed gratitude to the company for fulfilling their promise to reward customers.
