Market index continues to dip in dull trading

Accra, Jan. 11, GNA - The Accra bourse continued it downward slide in trading on Wednesday in dull trading. The GSE All-Share Index, the main stock index, dipped by 5.75 points at 4,701.01 points from Monday's close of 4,706.76 points. The change in the year-to-date slid to -1.43 per cent with the market capitalisation closing at 91,677.24 billion cedis from 91,692.46 billion cedis.

Shares traded continued to be low at 59,400 from Monday's close of 29,400 shares.

On the broader market, there were two price changes, one positive and one negative.

CAL Bank was 100 cedis poorer at 1,700 while Aluworks rose by seven cedis at 5,010 cedis.
