The Trade Union Congress (TUC) has stated that the National Tripartite Committee has not agreed on any figure as the national daily minimum wage.
According to the TUC, contrary to speculation on the issue, the Tripartite Committee made up of organized labour, employers and government are still in negotiations.
The Deputy Secretary-General of the TUC in charge of operations, Kofi Asamoah, disclosed this in an interview in Accra.
He said it is not true that the social partners in the negotiation for this year?s minimum wage had accepted ?10,500, adding that the minimum wage is yet to be fixed.
Asked when the minimum wage would be fixed and announced by the Tripartite Committee, the Deputy Secretary-General said it would be soon, but could not specify.
