Nigeria's quest for an expanded economic role in the West African sub-region was given a boost in far-away Accra, Ghana when Mr Bigg's, a division of United African Company of Nigeria (UACN) Plc formally commissioned its maiden off-shore restaurant.
The restaurant, sited along Akasanoma road, Adabraka is at the core of the Accra metropolis. It is a 5 billion cedi (about N78m.) investment which makes available to Ghanaian families and individuals the delicious Mr Bigg's menu in a world-class environment.
It also brings the total number of restaurants in the Mr Bigg's chain to 86. At a well-attended formal commissioning ceremony for the restaurant, Mr Ayo Ajayi, MD/CEO of UACN Plc, corporate parent of Mr Bigg's, said the investment provided multi-faceted benefits to the Ghanaian environment. He remarked that the venture would provide employment opportunities for 50 youths, adding that it supplied business opportunities for suppliers of the countless inputs into the Mr Bigg's menu.
