The Management of the National Lottery Authority (NLA) has embarked on a three-year innovative strategy for growth aimed at making its activities more dynamic and appealing to the public.
The move amongst others is to exponentially increase NLA’s revenue generation base by 230 per cent by 2017 as well as ensure an entrenched customer-centric culture amongst its staff to contribute to the success of the Organization.
Brigadier General Martin Ahiaglo (Retired), acting Director General of NLA, announced this at a meeting with journalists and Northern Regional Executives of the Ghana Journalists’ Association (GJA) in Tamale at the weekend.
The meeting was to enable Management of NLA and journalists and the GJA in the Region to fraternise as well as deepen their partnership for the development of the country.
Brigadier General Ahiaglo said Management of NLA was working to ensure that it rolled out at least a product each year as part of efforts to realize its strategy, adding, two products including “Soccer Cash” had been rolled out this year.
He said Management of NLA was also carrying out a shake up within the organization, which would lead to the creation of a marketing department and corporate communications unit to better market its products and tell the stories of NLA respectively.
He said a proper training of all staff of NLA had begun to ensure the achievement of the goals.
He commended the media in the Region for its strong partnership with NLA for the common good of the country and assured of being a dependable partner to the media.
Mr Caesar Abagali, Northern Regional Chairman of GJA emphasized that the GJA was ready to work with development and results oriented organizations such as the NLA for the development of the country.
Mr Abagali commended Management of NLA for its support to the GJA to undertake the recent national sanitation exercise in Tamale, which attracted President Mahama.
