The Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) has commended the flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for his vision to boost local manufacturing companies in Ghana.

AGI believes that Ghanaian businesses will thrive if the NPP fulfills its 2024 manifesto promise.

The NPP pledged to establish an SME bank to address the specific financing needs of small and medium enterprises and reform electricity tariffs to establish a structure where commercial rates are equal to or lower than residential rates.

Hawa Braima, Vice Chairperson for AGI in the Bono, Ashanti, Ahafo, and Bono East Regions, welcomed the policies when he spoke to OTEC News reporter Jacob Agyenim Boateng after the manifesto launch.

The Chief Executive Officer for Akaal Skills Development Academy, at Kwamo, appealed to the NPP to ensure the policies are well-implemented to support local businesses.
