Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has pledged that the next NDC administration will resume all cocoa road projects that have been abandoned by the current government.

Speaking to NDC supporters at a rally in Datano in the Bodi Constituency during her three-day campaign tour of the Western North Region, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang expressed her disappointment over the government's decision to halt these vital projects.

She criticized the government's failure to release a promised report on the status of cocoa roads after accusing the previous Mahama administration of mishandling the projects.

She assured the crowd that the NDC, under John Dramani Mahama’s leadership, would not only complete the abandoned cocoa road projects but would also revive key initiatives aimed at supporting cocoa farmers.

These include reinstating the free fertilizer program and ensuring that farmers receive fair producer prices for their cocoa.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang urged voters to support John Mahama and NDC parliamentary candidates in the upcoming December elections, promising that an NDC government would work hard to improve the livelihoods of cocoa farmers and fulfil the party’s development agenda for the region.
