Oda SSNIT on the neck of recalcitrant employers

Some employers who failed to pay Social Security contributions of their employees have been served with criminal summons by the Akyem Oda District Magistrate Court presided over by Mr Albert Owusu Annor.

They failed to appear before the court and bench warrants have been issued for their immediate arrest.

The prosecutor of the Akyem Oda branch office of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) named the defaulters as Samuel Kyei Boateng of Quality Filtered Water at Akyem Oda, Peter Yaw Darko of Pedark Company Limited at Akyem Asuboa and Emmanuel Amani of Amando International School at Akyem Awisa.

The othersare Rebecca Ahor of Wisdom Preparatory School at Akyem Akokoaso, Alex Adu Boahen of Stalexvan Laundry Services at Akyem Aboabo, Darkwa Preparatory School at Akyem Aduasa, Solomon Asiedu of Ansah Preparatory School at Akyem Batabi, Eric Kwabena Koreh of Erickson International School at Akyem Oda and Philip Adzoku of Bright Vision International School at Akyem Asantema.

The rest were Daniel Osei Owusu of Owusu Sawmills, Laryea Queen of Queen Hawa Foundation at Akyem Achiase, Dr Anim Addo Benjamin of Adom Diagnostic Herbal Clinic, Philip Yeboah of Philiyanco Company and Stanley Ababio of Owass School Complex.

Mr Franklin Newlove Alovor, the Akyem Oda Branch Manager of the SSNIT, said his office would no longer be lenient with such recalcitrant employers and added “we will smoke them out to retrieve every pesewa they owe the Trust.”
