Ghana’s High Commissioner to India, Mike Oquaye Jnr, has invited Indian businessmen to invest in Ghana as the country has abundant business opportunities for all.

Speaking as the special guest at a seminar on Economy and Business Opportunities with Ghana organised by the Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTAPCCI) at their Hyderabad office, he said there are many lucrative sectors for investment in Ghana.

Mr Oquaye Jnr noted that, investing in Ghana is a win-win situation to aspiring Indian industrialists as there are almost 15000 Indians currently living in Ghana where opportunities are abundant and markets are wide open.

He said entrepreneurs hoping to make profit in areas like mining, agriculture; infrastructure and energy are welcome to do so.

Mr Oquaye Jnr noted that one of his mission in India was to develop a bond with the country, as Indians are “warmth, dependable and have etiquette.”

Ghana’s relationship with India dates back to the days when both nations were under British colonial rule.
