People of Effutu attend training on soap making

A 10-day training workshop that seeks to equip citizen of Effutu Ansaful a farming community in Effutu Municipality with soap making skills to help them earn a living has started at Effutu Ansaful.

The training was initiated by Effutu Municipal branch of Rural Enterprises Programme (REP) which is part of government’s efforts to reduce poverty of those in the rural areas.

The beneficiaries numbered 25, made up 4 men and 21 women are been schooled on how to set up their own business, human relation, environmental hygiene, book keeping, proper accounting, and marketing procedures.

Addressing the participants, Mr. Francis Owusu Ansah, Effutu Municipal Coordinating Director urged the beneficiaries to take the training seriously.

He said the assembly would collaborate with the managers of the REP to monitor their conduct and a start-up capital would be given them.

Miss. Abban said the goal of REP is to improve the livelihoods and income of rural poor micro and small entrepreneurs.
