Humanity Magazine has called on Ghanaians to take precautionary measures when buying fuel at the various fuel stations.

It appealed to media personnel to embark on educational campaign to avert accidents at the fuel stations in country.

The Public Relation Officer (PRO) of the Humanity Magazine, Nsoroma Osei Bonsu, in an interview, appealed passionately to journalists, especially radio presenters, to create awareness about safety issues instead of politics.

He said, “Let’s imagine the apocalyptic nature of fire outbreak at filling stations, that’s why I am urging you to create awareness to save lives and property.”

He called on filling station operators to be disciplined and comply with the safety rules to avoid accidents and participate in workshops.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Humanity Magazine, Yahaya Alhassan, at a ceremony to present the Magazine Environmental Stewardship Award to the Board Chairman of the Petroleum Commission Steven Sekyere-Abankwa, praised the renowned banker of Prudential Bank, saying, “Since your appointment you have promoted sustainable occupational practices and safety measures for accident-free energy sector, thereby restoring public confidence.”

Mr. Alhassan said the award would encourage managers of public and private institutions to do well for the community.
