Phoenix Insurance Company pays claims to Birim Wood

Akim Oda, Aug. 17, GNA - Phoenix Insurance Company (PIC) Limited on Wednesday paid insurance claims totalling 33.2 million cedis to the Birim Wood Complex (BWC), a wood processing company at Akim Oda. The claims were in respect of damage caused to property of the company when a rainstorm hit it on April 27, this year.

Presenting a cheque for the amount, Mr Alphonse Amoah, General Manager, Operations of the PIC said it was the company's policy not to put impediments in the way of clients who put in genuine claims. He expressed the hope that the honouring of the claim would assist the company to expand its business.

The Managing Director of BWC, Mr Ali Majeed Sabbah, who received the cheque on behalf of the company, commended the insurance company for the prompt payment of their claims.

He also showed appreciation for the fast manner in which Phoenix Insurance Company honoured the workman's compensation for some workers of the factory that were injured on their job this year. Present at the function were Mr Joe Mensah, General Manager, BWC, Mr Aliu Mohammed Katu, Head of Life and Marketing and Mr Frank Wood, Akim Oda Branch Manager, all of PIC.
