Poor run of Ghana Stock Exchange continues

The poor run of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) continued on Monday as the main index, the GSE All-Share Index, only made marginal gains.

The Index rose by only 0.45 points to 1,360.05 points from 1,359.60 points with volumes dropping once again to under the 100,000 mark at 55,100 shares.

Ghana Commercial Bank and Guinness Ghana Limited were the only two gainers at 3,615 cedis and 1,035 cedis respectively. The change for the year was higher at 42.27 percent from 42.23 percent on Friday.

Market capitalisation was up at 5,103.19 billion cedis from 5,102.27 billion cedis at the previous close.
