Power generation has reduced by 50 megawatts due to a shortfall in gas supply.
The West African Gas Pipeline Company which supplies gas from Nigeria has cut the volumes to fix some technical defects.
Gas supply has reduced from over 80 Million Standard Cubic feet to 33 Million Standard Cubic Feet.
According to the Volta River Authority, there is enough generation to cater for the shortfall during the off peak period.
But VRA boss Kirk Coffie in an interview with XYZ News said power providers may shed load of about 50 megawatts if the gas supply does not improve.
Mr. Cofie added that a drastic reduction in water volumes in the Akosombo dam can also affect power supply.
