The Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers Ghana (COPECH Ghana), Duncan Amoah, has asked the government to investigate circumstances that led to the resignation of the Managing Director of the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers, Ghana, (COPEC), George Mensah Okley.

Mr Okley resigned from the position last Friday. Reasons for his resignation are unknown but Graphiconline reports that it may be linked to the issue of contracts at BOST.

Mr. Mensah Okley tendered in his resignation to the President after serving a little over two years at the state entity.

Mr Amoah told Accra-based Joy FM Monday, August 26 that the situation requires thorough investigations.

“We are calling immediately on authority to ensure that whatever systemic failures, whatever managerial failures that existed on the part of the former MD be investigated immediately,” he said.
