Rancard Prepares For African Market

Ghanaian mobile software company, Rancard solutions has announced its intention to extend its business to other parts of Africa in the coming years.

In connecting the world’s leading brands to relevant mobile audiences at the minimum cost per subscriber, the company, which has been operating since 2001, said reaching out to other African countries will further boost its vision of providing tailor-made IT support services to a wide range of consumers.

Ehizogie Binitie, Co-founder of Rancard, in an interview with CITY & BUSINESS GUIDE after a media interaction programme said, “We intend to grow very big and expand our services to other markets in Africa in about a year or two.”

He said currently the company has over 40 mobile networks on its platform in over 20 countries in Africa and the Middle East.

The company has since its establishment introduced several products and services including the ‘Carrier class mobile internet and SMS gateway’, which is a carrier class mobile internet and SMS gateway service built to enable its growing number of mobile operator clients to inexpensively deliver new SMS and data services to its mobile users.

The company used the occasion to launch its newest social networking service called ‘Rendezvous’, which is about discovery and sharing.

Mr. Binitie explained that “Rendezvous is a technology which makes it possible for people to discover and share things they enjoy.”

Commenting on the company’s recent partnership with Intel Capital and Adlevo Capital, he noted that though he cannot disclose the actual amount involved, the partnership will help boost Rancard’s prospects globally.
