Rise of ECOBANK share price slows

Accra, July 19, GNA - The rise in the share price of ECOBANK slowed on Wednesday with the newly listed equity gaining only one cedi. This was reflected in the performance of the main index, which saw only a marginal gain at the end of trading on the bourse. The GSE All-Share Index, the main stock index, went up by 0.05 points to 4,881.28 from 4,881.23 points on WEdnesday.

ECOBANK was the sole gainer, going up by one cedi at 11,501 cedis. Total shares traded were down at 289,500 from 491,100 shares and change for the year was unchanged at 2.35 per cent.

Market capitalisation was slightly better at 97,210.93 billion cedis from 97,210.77 billion cedis from Tuesday's close.
