Royal Bank unveils seven new consumer products

The Royal Bank Limited (RBL) has launched a bunch of consumer banking products to provide an excellent, fast, innovative and world class banking experience to its clients.

The new cutting edge products are the Royal personal loan, the Royal Child Account, the Royal Ride, the Royal Scheme loan, the Royal Salary Overdraft, Royal Akuafo account and Royal Consumer Assert.

The Deputy Managing Director of the bank Mr. Charles Otoo, who unveiled the products in Accra yesterday, said the Bank remained committed to give their customers best products, excellent customer care with quality service.

Mr. Otoo in an interview with GhanaWeb said, the Bank had lived up to its slogan of “Real Banking, Real Difference” and has taken the service to another level by the launch of the new products.

“We started two years ago and we said we wanted to be the bank of choice and to provide excellent innovative world-class banking experience to Ghanaians. Along the line we believe that we have lived up to our slogan and today we happened to take our services to a different level by giving customers a chance to an array of products so that they will have an experience of real royal banking service,” he said.

He stressed that his outfit looked at its clients base and conducted quality research to access and understand the needs and wants of its consumers.

He also mentioned that “we believe that we have done a lot of work, next year is going to be a vibrant year for us and our cherished customers, what is going to make Royal bank real different is we are taking our services to rural areas that some banks will not be interested to go and this makes our clients all around the country feel important to us”.

On his part, the Head of Banking Operations at RBL, Mr Emmanuel Mac-Randolph explaining the bank's new products said the Royal Bank intends to offer consumers the opportunity to improve on their finances and ultimately their lives and businesses.

“The products will meet the needs of our cherish consumer nationwide,” he said. Mr. Mac-Randolph explaining the products said, for the Royal Child account, children have the opportunity to develop the concept of savings and management of finance to make them financially prudent for the future.

The Royal Akuafo account, he said is meant to support mainly farmers in the cocoa sector, and also to motivate them to save for the future.

“The Royal Ride (Auto Loan) is an installment loan that enables customers and prospective customers to acquire their first car, upgrade to newer or bigger model or buy the classic car of their dream,” he added.

For the Royal Salary Overdraft, he said the Bank would provide individual salaried customer’s easy and convenient way to meet their urgent financial needs.

Mr. Mac-Randolph finally indicated that, the Royal Consumer Asset Finance offers the consumer an opportunity where the RBL pre-financed a customer’s desired asset, and spread the payment over a period.

The Royal Bank Limited, a wholly owned Ghanaian Bank was incorporated July 15, 2011, and started operations on December, 2012.

The Bank’s cardinal objective is to set up a universal bank which will provide services that sets apart from its peers in terms of quality service delivery, competitive pricing and product innovation; with competitive pricing being the most salient of them all.
