The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) is undertaking three monumental community projects to commemorate its Golden Jubilee.
The projects include a community library, forty (40) police community stations and a sports complex in Odododiodio.
The Library is to provide a helping hand to the development of future contributors to the Social Security Scheme.
This was made known at the launch of the 50th anniversary by the Director General of SSNIT, Mr. Ernest Thompson.
He explained that the construction of the stations is to enhance police visibility in various communities.
The increasing rate of armed robbery and attacks on the public he said is very worrying and required urgent attention.
In an interview with Kasapa News’ Leticia Ohene Asiedu, the Corporate Affairs Director of SSNIT, Mrs. Eva Amegatcher appealed to the public particularly traders to join the scheme since it’s a good personal insurance cover.
