Shareholders of indigenous bank, CalBank will enjoy a dividend of GH¢0.089 pesewas per share for the 2019 financial year.
This represents a GH¢0.041 pesewas more than the 2018 financial year dividend of GH¢0.048.
However, this will be subject to approval at the bank’s upcoming Annual General Meeting. The AGM will come off on Wednesday, 6 May, 2020.
All shareholders registered in the books of Cal at the close of business on Thursday, 7 May, 2020 will qualify for the final dividend.
In view of the foregoing, the ex-dividend date has been set at Tuesday, 5 May, 2020. Consequently, an investor purchasing Cal shares before this date will be entitled to the final dividend.
However, an investor buying Cal shares on or after Tuesday, 5 May, 2020 will not be entitled to the final dividend.
The final dividend will be paid on Friday, 5 June, 2020.
Cal recorded a 6.9% growth in profit in 2019 to GH¢174 million. In 2018, the profit was GH¢162.9 million.
