staff socializes at Wli Accra,
Nov. 23, GNA - As part of activities to mark the 10th anniversary of Stanbic Bank Ghana operations, staff and their families participated in a socialization trip to the Wli Waterfalls over the weekend. Mrs Sandra Osei Amoako, Head, Service Centre of the Roman Ridge branch of the bank, commended the Marketing Department for their excellent organization.
"This is among one of the diverse opportunities we get as staff, to interact with each other. This time round, we can also spend quality time with family and friends; few things could be this relaxing." After the long trip from Accra to the venue at Hohoe in Volta Region, participants were taken through a few fitness drills, after which they began the 45-minute walk from the tourist reception centre, up to the waterfalls. A live brass band music provided added some verve to the health walk. The cool waters of the falls gave the tired team relief, as most of them splashed in the water.
Wing Commander Allotey, Head of Human Resource of the Bank, expressed appreciation to staff members and their families for their massive turnout. "This impressive turnout reflects the dedication that we as a bank, have put in, to ensure that we render only world class customer service to our clients. I hope we will all keep this attitude up." For most people, it was their first time either in the Volta Region, or at the Wli Waterfalls, which is the highest falls in West Africa. "We hope to do this more often, a clerk from the Spintex Road Branch said. The activities were crowned with merry making and socialization. The trip is a prelude to other activities, lined up to mark the 10th anniversary of the bank. These include a carols' service, a thanksgiving service, as well as an end-of-year anniversary dinner. 23 Nov. 10
