Stanbic Bank continues to exhibit leadership in the business banking space as it hosts the maiden edition of the ‘Inspire Ghana’ series.

The ‘Inspire Ghana’ Series is a thought leadership programme designed to challenge leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals and the youth, to achieve a greater level of excellence.

Vusi Thembekwayo, the youngest director of a listed company in South Africa is the headline speaker for the programme, slated for March 22 -24, 2016.

Vusi is a business speaker who empowers his audience with new knowledge, research findings and tools that they can apply in their businesses to achieve sterling results.

Stanbic’s aim for instituting the series is to promote strategic thinking and entrepreneurship among the youth and induce new ways of business thinking within the business class.

Mawuko Afadzinu, Head, Marketing and Communications of Stanbic Bank, is optimistic that Vusi’s presentation will strongly communicate the bank’s desire and interest in ensuring its clients’ businesses thrive.

“When businesses hit a plateau and people are suffering from monotony, a radical shift in behavior is needed to improve results,” he said. “Vusi’s presentations are unparalleled and they give managers and leaders real tools for real change.”

The programme will be in three sessions. Vusi will interact and mentor students of the University of Ghana Business School and Staff of Stanbic Bank, after which the series will be climaxed with some of the Bank’s Commercial Banking customers.

According to Afadzinu, the bank is planning to make the ‘Inspire Ghana’ series an annual event where global business icons will be given the platform to share with Ghanaians the blueprints of their success stories.

Popularly known as the Rockstar of Public Speaking, Vusi will speak on the theme “Realising the Potential in You”. By age 17, Vusi had been ranked 1st in Africa for public speaking and went on to place 3rd at the English Speaking Union International Competition.

At 21, he ran a 26 million dollar division in a multi-billion dollar enterprise. He is currently the MD of a boutique investment and advisory firm.

He speaks in four of the seven continents to over 350 000 people each year.
