Star Assurance pays millions to two companies

Kumasi, Nov. 29, GNA - Star Assurance Company (SAC) on Monday made a payment of eight hundred million cedis (800,000,000.00) to two firms at a brief ceremony in Kumasi. The Firms are Rotex Construction Company Limited and the National Investment Bank (NIB).

The claim paid, was in respect of their articulated truck, which was considered "write off" as result of its involvement in an accident, which holds a comprehensive motor insurance. Mr Eldon M. A. Out, Area Manager of the Star Assurance Company, who presented the cheque, said the amount represented the full value of the vehicle.

He said the fact that Star Assurance decided to quickly pay the claim only after five months of take-off of the policy is enough indication that the company was concerned about making prompt payments. Mr Otu made it clear that prompt claims settlement was the hallmark of "a good insurance company, and Star Assurance is deeply committed to this principle and that was why the company was adjudged the best insurance company in customer care and motor insurance categories in the Ashanti Region".

Mr Kwaku Dankwah, General Manager of Rotex Construction Limited, thanked the Star Assurance for their excellent services and urged them not to be complacent but further improve upon it.
