Stock index climbs down

Accra, Nov. 12, GNA - The Accra bourse slid in poor trading on Friday as the year slowly winds down and the market caves in under bearish sentiments.

The GSE All-Share Index, the main market index, was down by 4.96 points to 6,893.18 points from 6,898.14 points.

There were two price changes, both negative.

Home Finance Company was down by 100 cedis at 10,000 cedis and Clydestone lost 90 cedis at 1,210 cedis.

Change for the year was down at 93.99 per cent. Total shares traded more ended the week at 171,700 shares from Wednesday's 220,700 shares.

Market capitalization also ended lower at 97,236.03 billion cedis from 97,249.10 billion cedis from 3,580.79 million issued shares.
