Stock index continues to appreciate

Accra, Feb. 9, GNA - The Accra bourse continued to appreciate on Monday as volumes traded climbed up to 725,400 shares. The GSE All-Share Index, the main market gauge, climbed by 41.75 points to 3,931.04 points from 3,889.29. Change for the year was 10.63 per cent.

There were six price changes all positive with SSB leading the pack with a gain of 994 cedis at 20,000cedis per share. Camelot (CMLT) gained 55 cedis at 605 cedis; Ghana Commercial Bank got 51 cedis at 9,381 cedis and Produce Buying Company had 50 cedis at 1950 cedis.

Other gainers were CFAO, which had six cedis at 82 cedis with Home Finance Company appreciating by five cedis at 4,605 cedis. Market capitalisation was 13,570.53 billion cedis.
