Accra, Oct. 1 - The main index of the Accra bourse rose on Monday on a good performance of Standard Chartered Bank, the second best equity.
The GSE All-Share Index gained 14.53 points at 5,691.30 points from 5,676.77 points on Friday.
Shares that changed hands opened the week at 111,600 shares from Friday's 241,600.
Change for the year ended up at 13.69 per cent. There were four price changes, three up and one down. Ecobank Ghana Limited gained 0.0001 GH cedis at 1.6101 GH cedis, Standard Chartered Bank gained 0.5000 GH cedis at 21.5000 GH cedis, SG-SSB was 0.0001 GH cedis up at 1.0504 GH cedis. HFC Bank was the only loser, doing down by 0.0002 GH cedis at 0.5398 GH cedis. Market capitalisation ended at 11,759.46 GH cedis.
