Stock market continues to struggle

Accra, Oct. 3, GNA - The Accra bourse continued to struggle as the main stock index inched up by a mere 0.02 points in another dull session. The GSE All-Share Index, the main stock gauge, ended at 4,878.31 from 4,878.29 points on Friday.

Change for the year-to-date remained the same at -28.25 per cent. Fan Milk Limited (FML) and Enterprise Insurance Company (EIC) were the only gainers. FML rose by one cedi at 15,606 cedis and EIC was five cedis better at 6,040 cedis.

Shares that changed hands slumped to 30,400 from 2,895,800 shares on Friday buoyed by a block trade in Mobil Oil Ghana Limited. Market capitalisation went up at 92,129.90 billion cedis from Friday's close of 92,129.75 billion cedis.
