T-Bills: Government to borrow GH¢4.363 billion in its upcoming auction

The government has set its next treasury bill auction at GH¢4.363 billion. The auction will be on August 2, 2024, and issued on August 6, 2024.

In its latest treasury bill auction, the government secured GH¢4.062 billion missing its target of GH¢4.779 billion.

The auction on July 24, issued on July 15, 2024, secured GH¢2.404 for the 91-day bill.

The government accepted GH¢1.1179 billion for the 182-day bill and GH¢477.58 billion for the 365-day bill.

Last week, the government sold a total amount of GH¢4.779 billion. Interest rates stood at 24.78% for the 91-day bill, 26.74% for the 182-day bill, and 27.85% for the 365-day bill.

According to the Bank of Ghana results, all bids tendered in this week’s auction were accepted.
