TMA and GPHA donate towards Homowo

Tema Manhean, Aug. 8, GNA -- The managements of Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) and Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) on Thursday donated assorted drinks and cash to Tema Traditional Council towards the celebration of this year's Homowo Festival.

Management of the assembly presented two cartons of schnapps, three cartons of beer, four crates of soft drinks and GH¢500 cash while GPHA management presented two bags of rice, two crates of soft drinks, two cartons of beer, a bottle of whisky and some cash. Mr David Quaye Annang, Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive presenting the items said it was in fulfilment of the assembly's social responsibility to the people.

He advised the people of Tema Manhean to observe good sanitation practices during the celebration to avoid the outbreak of diseases in the town. Madam Serwaa Owusu Acheampong, Public Relations Officer of GPHA, presenting the items said it was in appreciation of the relative peace in Tema. Nii Adjei Kraku, Tema Mantse receiving the items, expressed appreciation to the two organizations and urged TMA to live up to expectation. 08 Aug. 08
