The days of one-man business are over ? Dr Addison

Dr. Justice A. Addison, former President of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) has said in London that the private sector should step up their efforts to establish public liability companies. He pointed out that the establishment of such companies held the key to the accelerated development and wealth creation for the people of Ghana.

He added that the involvement of the public in private companies would increase capital inflows, usher in efficiency and ensure more transparency in the operation of companies.

Speaking during a courtesy call on Kwabena Baah-Duodu, Acting High Commissioner, Dr. Addison observed that ?the days of one-man business concept are over? and advised those still entrenched in the old concept to take measures in order to expand the focus and vision of the companies.

Dr. Addison was optimistic about the economic policies and programmes put in place by the government to revive various sectors of the economy and called on industrialists to take advantage of the conducive economic environment.

Mr. Baah-Duodu commended Dr. Addison for his past and present roles in the development of the private sector in Ghana. He talked about the various policies which had been put in place by Government to ensure that the private sector accomplish its task as the engine of growth of Ghana?s economy.
