Tigo Big 6; freedom to experience more on social media

The social media continues to take center-stage in modern day communication and is rapidly setting the pace for technological innovation in the telecommunication arena.

This has pushed major telecom companies globally to develop top-of-the-range customer focused products to ensure customer retention and maximise product fulfillment.

In this regard, Ghana’s telecom giant, Tigo is spearheading this move with its rewarding promotion ‘The Big 6’, an innovative product which is set to excite new prepaid customers on the social media.

This cutting edge new product will not only give Tigo users the opportunity to do more on the internet but will also offer its customers value for money on data services, giving you total freedom on the internet.

Launched in Accra last month, the Tigo Big 6 promo seeks to provide customers the freedom to cherry pick and choose the social media channels as it offer them bonus on all talk time to keep them connected.

‘The Big 6’ is an exciting acquisition offer, aimed at giving new pre-paid customers the freedom to do more on Facebook, Wikipedia, Twitter, Google+, WhatsApp and many more social media channels.

The service ensures that all new Tigo customers receive100MB to browse the internet for seven days, unlimited music from Deezer for 15 days, 200 percent bonus on all top-up using Tigo vouchers, 300 percent bonus on all weekly and monthly internet packages, 300 percent bonus top up using Tigo cash and free Tigo No. 1 for 30 days whilst bonus talk time can be used to make calls to other TiGo local networks and international lines.

In her press address at the Big 6 launch, the Acquisition Manager for Tigo, Ama Daaku, explained that the bold offer will give customers value for money, without restrictions to particular digital or social media channels.

“Beyond giving customers the freedom to cherry pick and choose the social media channels they want, we are giving them bonus on all talk time to keep them connected”, she said.

On his side, the Head of Mobile, Tara Squire, mentioned that ‘Tigo Big Six’ was designed based on customer needs and behaviour pattern.

“An in-depth analysis of our customers indicated consistent use of several digital platforms including Instagram and Twitter. Customers also wanted to roll over any unused credit into the subsequent month”, he said.

“This welcome offer enables customers to fully utilise all our digital products including unlimited music and Tigo Cash. My ‘Tigo Number 1’ for instance allow customers to register a particular number and get airtime to talk longer to that person” he further explained.

Some industry analysts are of the view that the telecom operator’s substantial subscriber increase in latest NCA report was due to its value offerings that allow customers to choose products that meet their perfect needs.

Other industry players are also predicting that Tigo’s recent popular and appealing television and radio commercials “Drop that Yam Chip”, Tigo Big 6 would help boast the telecom operator’s subscribers both data and voice in next NCA report.

Tigo Big Six is for only new customers and this includes those who buy the SIM and those who port in from other networks.

This new promo and service truly affirm that Tigo will continue to be the most affordable and the preferred network in Ghana for many mobile users.
