The management of mobile network operator, Tigo, has called on the Okyehene, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panyin II, ahead of the climax of his 15th anniversary celebrations.
The Chief Executive Officer for Tigo Ghana Limited, Roshi Motman, was full of praise for the Okyehene achievements in environmental protection; improving educational and supporting the development and wellbeing of children.
Presenting a cheque for GHS20, 000, she said Tigo remains committed to promoting Ghana’s rich culture and tradition and would continue to support several of such projects which unite communities. She singled out ‘Tigo Fest’ as one of such programmes which celebrates Ghana’s rich culture diversity.
Madam Motman explained that Tigo had been in the country for 22 years and was in Ghana for long term sustainable business. She mentioned investment, employment creation, human resource development and sustainable development in the areas of community development as some of the opportunities created by Tigo.
The Okyehene, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panyin II, commended Tigo for its contributions to the country’s development through various social investment initiatives.
Focusing on children’s welfare as the central theme for his anniversary celebrations, the Okyehene called on society to protect and ensure the wellbeing of children as they are the future to the country’s development.
