Tigo offers more to its customers on upgraded tariff plan

Millicom Ghana Ltd., operators of Tigo the third biggest telecom company in the country has announced an upgrade to its popular tariff plan, Tigo Free Bonto.

Under the campaign dubbed “Real Gifts are Forever” the new Free Bonto seeks to offer customers more value for their money anytime they purchase Tigo call credits. The new Free Bonto will offer customers the opportunity to use their call credits without any fears of their bonus credits expiring.

This new feature is in addition to already-existing features of the Free Bonto tariff plan which includes customers being offered triple bonus anytime they recharge with GHC 5 or more; double bonus on all credit reloads below GHC 5; and the freedom to use bonus credits to make calls to any network in Ghana.

Other benefits of the Free Bonto tariff plan which makes it exceptional from all other tariff plans in the mobile telephony space include the ability to use bonus to make international calls and even bundle to browse the internet.

Speaking on the re-packaged Free Bonto event yesterday in Accra, Roshi Motman, the General Manager for Tigo said Tigo is responsive to the needs of its customers and thus its willingness to go the extra mile to ensure that customers get the best of services on the network.

“In response to customers’ need for freedom, we developed Tigo Free Bonto, the first in the industry to take away restrictions that limited what customers could use their bonuses for,” madam Motman emphasized.

She also added “the upgrade of Free Bonto is based on the insight that real gifts should last forever.” With the new upgrade, all new subscribers onto Tigo will automatically enjoy Free Bonto, meaning that there is no need for new subscribers to worry about processes to activate Free Bonto on their new SIM cards.

Tigo’s new move on the tariff front comes in the light of increasing mobile call charges on the various networks in the country, and this implies that Tigo takes the needs of its customers at heart. Thus the upgrade of Tigo Free Bonto, a tariff plan which also offers low call charges, is a move to mitigate any effects of changes or increases in call charges in the country.
