U.K-based electrical installation company to provide technical skills and jobs to Ghanaians

Greener Watts limited, a specialised electrical multinational company based in the U.K, will soon set up a subsidiary in Ghana. The company aims to train and create technical jobs and empower Ghanaian graduates, by mid-2019.

The U.K based company, specialises in electrical installations, solar PV, electric vehicle charging stations, emergency lighting, fault finding, inspection and testing, and are on the verge of setting up satellite offices in Ghana to provide jobs for Ghanaian graduates and equip graduates with skills in their areas of specialization.

Greener Watts aims to support the vison of the government to diversify the country’s dependence on electrical power and pilot their electric car project in Ghana. In a recent interview with the media, Director of Greener Watts, Mr Bill Obeng-Yeboah revealed the company’s plans to leave a positive legacy in Africa. “Our objective is to provide solutions that not only work but have a real impact on the bottom line as well as the environment. We believe equipping Africans with skills in our areas of specialization will reduce the unemployment burden bedevilling the continent and Ghana will be our first step,” he said.

They will pilot the electric car model in Ghana and other African countries to assess its feasibility and make recommendations for the African market.
