VGIL to help solve land acquisition problems

Accra, March 8, GNA - The Volta Ghana Investment Limited (VGIL), a new local company is to help solve the problem of land acquisition in the country through the delivery of secure and safe lands for prospective investors.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency on Monday, Ms Rita Afia Owusu, Freelance Marketing Consultant for the VGIL said local and foreign investors who had to go through all the nifty gritty of acquiring land for investment and had to face problems such as double or multiple sales and land tenure problems would now have a breather.

She said: "having realised the serious impediments land issues were posing to the level of investments in the country, the company decided to legally acquire vast stretch of lands from rightful owners in order to make them available for investors.

"The aim is to provide desirable land that is secured, hassle free with legitimate title and provide the land title and signing of the transfer forms to the buyer," she said.

Ms Owusu said being one of the largest landowners in and around Accra, the company founds it disheartening to see Ghanaians and foreigners both at home and abroad who had bought lands only to find out that there were several others claiming ownership to the same property. "Our goal is to have a company that consistently delivers a hassle-free property to people at reasonable prices," she said. Currently locations of ready lands included, Aburi, Ayimensah, and Pokuase.
