Virgin Nigeria to commence PH - Accra flight

Virgin Nigeria, the Nigeria official carrier may commence direct flight operations from Port Harcourt International Airport to Accra, Ghana.

Air passengers who wantto travel to Ghana may not find it difficult in paying fare to Lagos before flying to Accra, Ghana.

The new development is in an effort by Virgin Nigeria to satisfy all Nigerians across the country.

The Station Manager, Mr David confirmed to The Tide that the airline may commence direct flight operations from Port Harcourt.

He said although the airline had not come out with the flight schedule and the amount to charge passengers but noted that the time and amount would be affordable.

The station manager commended Port Harcourt passengers for their patronage since June when the airline commenced operations noting that all the aircraft of the airline were new machine.

Already, about four airlines are currently operating direct flights to West African countries from Port Harcourt International Airport,Omagwa.

The airlines include, Aero Contractor, Bellview, Aviation Development Company (ADC) and the Executive Aviation services (EA) airlines.

Aero Contractor flies to Malabo on Tuesdays and Thursday to and fro, Bellview started direct flight to West Coast from Port Harcourt Airport flights on Sundays, ADC on Tuesdays and Thursday while EAS goes only Saturday.

This development has increased the volume of traffic of the Port Harcourt Airport, specially the international routeds
