Vodafone Ghana repositions to provide total business communication needs

Accra, April 8, GNA - Vodafone Ghana has launched an initiative to deliver flexible tailored-made total communication needs for corporate bodies, small and medium enterprises and government agencies in the country.

Vodafone Business Solutions (VBS), the initiative to provide a full range of fixed, mobile and data communications services to customers, stemmed from the re-branding of the company's Enterprise Business Unit following a 500-million-dollar investment. Mr Derek Appiah, Director for the VBS performed the launch on Thursday in Accra at a colourful ceremony and said the investment had repositioned Vodafone Ghana to have the most modern 21st Century technology of the Internet in the country. "Moreover it (VBS) is focused on businesses and in finding ways that businesses can take advantage of communication opportunities to realize ambitions they have for the future.

"Vodafone has the resource capabilities to support businesses and we are addressing issues much quicker to our customers. "It (VBS) is a new beginning for Vodafone in our relationship with our customers," Mr Appiah noted at the launch, which was characterized by the blowing of hot air balloon with Vodafone logo on it, to lift people up into the sky symbolizing Vodafone Ghana's height of readiness to providing total solutions to businesses in Ghana. As part of Vodafone Ghana's innovation and first to market philosophy, the launch also saw Vodafone Business Solutions unveiling the latest top-of-the range BlackBerry Torch phone with features such as touch screen, a slide-out QWERTY keypad and a 5-megapixel zero-shutter camera on the Ghanaian market.

The Torch is the first BlackBerry Smartphone to come with the BlackBerry 6 operating system.

Vodafone Ghana after a promo of the new phone and education on its features, gave out fifteen (15) of the BlackBerry Torch free to invited guests at the launch.
