Former President John Dramani Mahama recently shared his experience after test driving an electric vehicle.

According to him, he found the experience exhilarating, highlighting the increasing appeal and importance of EVs in today's world.

In a Facebook post on August 18, 2024, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress mentioned that, "as we face the challenges of climate change and urban congestion, transitioning to electric vehicles (EVs) is a crucial step towards a sustainable future."

Following his test drive, he extended an invitation for Ghanaians to adopt cleaner and more efficient transportation solutions aimed at sustainable mobility.

“Eventually with the lithium that we have, we will be able to manufacture the batteries and EVs ourselves right here in Ghana. It’s a good experience that will cut down on the foreign exchange we spend in bringing fuel into the country,” he rallied.

The adoption of EVs in Ghana showcases a broader commitment to clean energy and sustainability measures as it encourages individuals to embark on the transformative journey towards greener and smarter mobility.
