Western Union holds final loyalty draw

Accra, July 20, GNA - Western Union Money Transfer, the global leader in money transfer services, has held its final draw of promotion in Accra to reward its loyal customers.

The promotion was to build up excitement towards the just ended 2010 FIFA World Cup Tournament in South Africa from June 11 to July 11.

The first 10 customers whose entries were drawn won plasma television sets while 150 other people won T-shirts and base ball caps.

The nation-wide promotion, which started on May 17, sponsored four winners, Mr Richmond Osei Amoateng of Kumasi, Mr Issa Haku Mohammed from Tamale, Mr Musa Yakubu of Accra and Madam Akosua Owusuaa, a resident of Amasu in Northern Region, to South Africa to watch the quarter, semi and the final of matches.

About 30 customers have so far won plasma television sets while 500 others had T-shirts and base ball caps in the first and second draws.

Mr Kofi KariKari, Marketing Officer of Agriculture Development Bank, said the promotion among similar packages, re-affirmed Western Union's commitment to give back to society in recognition of its loyal customers.

He said "the only qualification to be part of the promotion is that one needs to just receive money from abroad through any Western Union agent nation-wide and fill a coupon".

Mr Karikari said the promotion was one of the numerous projects initiated by management of the company, which sought to connect customers to share the excitement of football.
